Bangalore based multinational bank ING Vysya selected an Indian Information technology company Mindtree as a strategic digital partner for its next generation mobility program. As part of this program, Mindtree will guide ING Vysya to do multichannel and multi-platform banking transactions to its customers.

Google Maps is now available in Hindi fonts


After Introducing Indian accent voice search, Google has moved further by launching its Google maps in Hindi. Today Google has announced that it has launched Google maps in Hindi to make Indian users more comfortable. This new maps will be available on the Google maps on the web and Google maps mobile app for Android 4.3 or higher.

Government Promises Internet Facility in all Rural Areas


The Central Government today passed the statement to provide the Internet facility to all the rural areas in India with the active participation of all the state governments.

IT and Telecommunication Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad announced more than 1.34 lakh broadband enabled centers have been set up in small villages to promote and increase the development of information technology in rural areas of the country. Prasad also added to his statement as there is no proper bandwidth in many villages in the country and central Government is trying to improve the same.

Microsoft expected to announce biggest layoffs this week


Multinational Corporation Microsoft Corp is expected to announce one of the biggest layoffs in history to meet CEO’s goal of increasing productivity. In 2009, Microsoft done largest layoffs and nearly 6,000 people were fired. Several months ago, Microsoft took over the mobile company Nokia for attractable price with a deal that added about 25,000 people to Microsoft’s payroll. So, this time the majority layoffs are expected to happen in Nokia handset unit.

Idea launches Smart WiFi 3G dongle that connects 10 devices


All the Telecom operators are launching their own 3G devices one after the other. Airtel, Tata Photon, Vodafone and Huawei are already launched 3G devices in the market. Latest news is that one more Telecom Operator Idea Cellular has launched 3G WiFi enabled data card on July 10. This featured smart WiFi and released for Rs 2199. Idea Cellular has introduced this smart device in 11 service regions where it has 3G spectrum.

Microsoft Plans to Expand IT Operations in Telangana


The Government of India had declared June 2nd as the appointed date for Telangana as a new state. Now the latest news is that multinational software company Microsoft is planning to expand its IT operations in Telangana and the same was announced on Monday. Regarding to this, Bhaskar Pramanik the chairman of Microsoft India met Telangana chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and had long discussions about the expansion plans.
