Facebook Chief Privacy Officer "Erin Egan" said that companies and governmental agencies were increasingly asking job applicants for access to their accounts as part of a pre-employment screening process.

To be more specific, the company says giving employers access to personal accounts is harmful to both the user and the user's friends. And also it will create legal problems for companies as well. Since it's a kind of violation of Facebook terms & conditions.

"As a user, you shouldn't be forced to share your private information and communications just to get a job".

So the conclusion is :

Users :

Don't share your Facebook credentials with any company or agency.

Companies :

Don't ask job applicants for passwords to the social network (Facebook). If you do so, it's violation of Facebook terms, So you have to face legal problems.
