GE appoints Munesh Makhija as new MD
General Electric or GE is an American Multinational corporation that operates through different segments like Energy, Technology Infrastructure, Capital Finance as well as consumer and Industrial sectors. GE is having many divisions that include GE capital, GE Power & Water, GE oil & gas, GE Aviation, GE Healthcare, GE Transportation and GE Home & Business Solutions.
GE appointed Munesh Makhija as new Managing director of GE India Technology center and chief technology officer of GE India effective immediately. On Tuesday GE announced that Munesh Makhija will succeed Gopichand Katragadda as managing director. Katragadda Gopichand is set to join Tata sons as Group CTO in August. GE company stated as Munesh Makhija, who will be based at the John F Welch Technology center in Bangalore, will lead GE’s R&D efforts in India and now he carry forward the technology legacy of GE centre.
GE has given statement as, we have successfully been able to position the GE India Technology center as an asset for the company and this is all done under the leadership of Gopichand Katragadda. Gopichand was also involved in developing technologies to improve the quality life in India and World. In his new role, Munesh Makhija will build on this foundation and drive growth by exposing technical capability and increasing new product development.
