Mu Sigma acquired Singapore-based social media analytics firm Webfluenz
Analytics firm and Decision sciences service provider Mu Sigma has acquired the Singapore-based company Webfluenz, a proprietary social media intelligence and management system which has companies like Nivea, American Express, and Myntra.com among its clients. This deal has ended with an undisclosed amount.
Webfluenz was founded in 2010 by Bharani Setlur, CEO and Harish Madabushi, CTO. Webfluenz is social media measurement software including engagement, monitoring and workflow features and this software is available in two versions that is Personal and Enterprise. Personal version will be used in small business solutions whereas Enterprise version is a complete social media intelligence suite.
Webfluenz has developed a tool for business, public relation agencies, advertising consultancies and companies to monitor social media conversations and transactions across Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Google+ and other media platforms. This also allows them to check their social accounts like their Twitter and Facebook accounts. It provides these services with free of cost and also a paid tier of $50 per month for all its users and for enterprises it charges $299 per month.
In Webfluenz words, “Webfluenz has been working with Mu Sigma on different types of solutions and it will definitely add significantly to Mu Sigma’s products in serving our clients’ advanced needs going beyond traditional social media monitoring.”
The Data Analytics firm Mu Sigma was valued at $1 billion market when MasterCard acquired an equity stake in the company. Now, Mu Sigma stepping forward along with Webfluenz to introduce more products and to raise their revenue.
