Google Launched health and fitness tracking App
Google is an American multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and products. These include online advertising technologies, search, cloud computing, and software. Most of its profits are derived from AdWords. Google offers online productivity software including email (Gmail), a cloud storage service (Google Drive), an office suite (Google Docs) and a social networking service (Google+). The company leads the development of the Android mobile operating system.
To make people aware of their health & fitness, Google launched Fit app to the public on 28th Oct’14. Google Fit is a free android app available to all android users running 4.0 or above. Google Fit is a single set of API’s that bends data from multiple app. After the Apple’s iOS 8 Healthkit launch, Google announced Google Fit.
Google Fit can counts activity, burned calories and steps, while connecting to Android Wear smart watches and other apps. User can connect his/her favorite fitness devices and apps like Strava, Withings, Runtastic, Runkeeper and Noom Coach to Google Fit & It will surface all of the relevant data in one spot, giving you a clear and complete view of your fitness.
This Android app can be used in Smartphones, Tablets & Browsers &allows users to review their history, set goals and track steps, heart rate and calories burnt like any number of other fitness tracking apps, like Facebook’s Moves app and Samsung’s S Health app.
