Opera Mini Browser Crosses 50 Million Users in India
Opera is a free of charge web browser developed since 1994 by the Norwegian company Opera Software. The latest version currently runs on Microsoft Windows and OS X operating systems and uses the Blink layout engine. Opera Mini Works on devices across the most popular mobile platforms including Android, iOS, Symbian, Maemo, Bada, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile OS, and for Java ME capable devices.
Only in India Opera Mini mobile browser has over 50 million users, the company announced on Sunday. According to the latest statistics, Opera mini mobile app became the third most popular mobile app. In September 2014, the Opera browser had more than 350 million worldwide users. Due to large population, good internet facility and wide range of smart phone users, India has more number of Opera Mini users.
The compression technology and low RAM requirements of Opera Mini make it a hit on smart phones used in India. In addition to that Opera browser also able to render web pages faster which allows even if people connected to 2G and slower network to load the pages faster and also helps users cut down on their data costs.
