PM Narendra Modi is now on Instagram
Instagram is an online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables users to take pictures and videos & user can share them In all social networking platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr etc. It has a unique feature that confines user’s photos to a square shape, similar to Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid images, in contrast to the 4:3 aspect ratio typically used by mobile device cameras. The maximum duration for Instagram videos is 15 seconds. In April 2012 Instagram was acquired by Facebook for approximately $1billion in cash & stock. Honorable Prime minister of India Narendra Modi, has now joined Instagram, within a span of three hours Modi got approximately 42000 followers. He made his first post on Instagram which was an Image from the 25th ASEAN summit being held in Myanmaar & the caption for the first post is “Hello World! Great being on Instagram. My first photo...this one from the ASEAN Summit,”
Narendra Modi is currently in Myanmaar for the ASEAN Summit with other leaders including US President Barack Obama, his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe and Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang. Modi is also expected to bring a lot of improvements to the state of the technology industry in India.
Narendra Modi is quite lively on Social networking platforms from the time he started campaigning for the Prime Ministerial post for the BJP. He has around 24.8 million followers on Facebook & 7.9 million followers on Twitter. He is the first prime minister to do the voting and social welfare campaigns through the social networking platforms. After becoming Prime Minister of India, Modi suggested all Ministers to join social networking sites to directly communicate to the people.
