WhatsApp now shows blue ticks when your message have been read

WhatsApp now shows blue ticks
WhatsApp is a mobile messaging service app that allows users to send their images, videos and also audio media messages with free of cost. WhatsApp is the most globally popular messaging app with more than 600 million users, with India alone boasting a user base of more than 70 million.

WhatsApp came up with a new feature, when recipient reads your message then you can view the two blue ticks lighting up to the message. This feature is available for iOS, Android, Windows, BlackBerry, BlackBerry 10 and Symbian devices. This has been introduced few days back and users are very happy with this feature.

This new feature appears not only for one-to-one chats but also in group chats and broadcasted messages, double tick marks will turn blue when all the participants in that group has read the message. Earlier, only one tick used to appear in group chats and broadcasted messages, irrespective of whether the messages has been delivered or not.
Earlier Single Tick indicates that the message is successfully sent, Double Tick indicates that the message is successfully delivered to the recipient’s device; Whereas Double Tick lighting up in blue indicates that the recipient has read your message. All these ticks will appear next to the message you send.

WhatsApp has two limitations when it compared with Blackberry. One of which is user doesn’t receive any notification when the message sent is read by the recipient & the other one is privacy, if someone has your contact number they can ping you & they can even add you to the group without taking any prior permission from you this is not the case in BBM.

To cope up with the first limitation, WhatsApp came up with message read confirmation notification feature. Let’s see whether WhatsApp will come up with new features in future to cope up with the privacy settings.
